About Me
My journey as a graphic designer began at the age of six, sitting at the family computer with Sierra Print Artist on floppy disks. I delighted in creating thank-you cards for the pizza delivery guy and crafting image collages based on my classmates’ interests for binder inserts. Programs like Kid Pix sparked my creativity, and by middle school, I was diving into freeware tools like GIMP and Paint.net, experimenting with digital design and discovering the power of visual storytelling.
In high school, I honed my craft in Computer Graphics 1-3, culminating in AP 2D Design in 2013. I had the privilege of learning in Virginia's oldest public high school computer graphics program, established in 1994, which provided access to the Adobe Creative Suite. Alongside my work in computer graphics, I explored multiple levels of photography and studio art, refining my technical skills and artistic eye. As a member of the Computer Graphics Club, I collaborated with peers on projects that combined creativity and innovation, deepening my passion for design.
These formative experiences laid the foundation for a career defined by curiosity, adaptability, and a drive to create meaningful visual experiences.
During my professional career, I have brought this lifelong passion for design to roles at O’Connell & Lawrence, Inc. and Marymount University. At O’Connell & Lawrence, I spearheaded branding, proposal layouts, promotional materials, and a website refresh that helped the Montgomery County Business Association (MCSBA) gain over 100 new members. At Marymount, I designed VR promotional materials, managed a website migration of 10,000+ pages, and supported the university’s marketing strategies.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (Summa Cum Laude) from Marymount University and a Multimedia Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College, I blend technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a love for storytelling to create designs that resonate. My skills include Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, video production, and digital marketing, enabling me to craft compelling visuals for diverse audiences.
Whether working on corporate branding, academic initiatives, or creative projects, I strive to bring passion and purpose to every design I create.
